In hockey there are some players that disgrace this truly tough game with their dives and faking of injuries. This site is hoping to point these guys out.

On Friday, November 23rd, Wilds' Brian Rolston was called for diving. That is the first that I have heard of Rolston diving, hopefully he doesn't continue it.

Jarkko Ruutu penalized twice for diving in same game
On Thanksgiving day (November 22nd), in the Penguins-Senators game, Penguins' agitator Jarkko Ruutu was called for diving twice in the game. Everyone who watches hockey knows about Ruutu and his antics. A lot of players would love to be able to drop the gloves and pound him.

Scorer Marian Hossa called for diving
On Monday, November 19th, in the Lightning-Thrashers game, Thrashers' forward Marian Hossa was called for diving and given a penalty. This isn't something new for Hossa. He's a scorer and a really good player but does go down easy at times. He needs to stop doing that.

Steve Begin caught diving
Tonight in the Bruins-Canadiens game, Canadiens' forward Steve Begin was called for diving. Not a surprise to me, this guy and other Canadiens' players have been known for going down easy over the past few seasons.

On Thursday, November 15h, in the Capitals-Panthers game, Capitals' forward Chris Clark got a penalty for diving. Clark is one of those hard working gritty kind of players that any team would like to have on their team, but he got caught diving here.

Daniel Carcillo gets called for diving
On November 8th, in the Stars-Coyotes game, Coyotes' energy player Daniel Carcillo was called for diving. Carcillo is leading the NHL so far in penalty minutes with 75. He's a tough kid and it's too bad he dived to try and get a penalty call. I would think that the tougher players wouldn't do this but we all know some do.

October diving penalties
Well I just started tracking diving penalties starting with the games on October 31st, so this post is looking back in the month of October to see who got caught diving. Of course if I missed any diving penalties, please leave a comment and tell us who it was that got caught.
On Wednesday, October 3rd, in the Ducks-Red Wings game there were two diving penalties. The first diving penalty was called on Red Wings' goalie Dominik Hasek. What a surprise there huh? He may be the all-time goalie with the most dives (called or not called). Ducks' defenseman Francois Beauchemin was also called for diving.
On Thursday, October 4th, in the Maple Leafs-Senators game, Senators' tough guy Chris Neil was called for diving. Even though Neil is a tough guy, he has been caught a few times diving in the past as well.
On Wednesday, October 10th, in the Rangers-Islanders game, Rangers' forward Ryan Callahan was called for diving.
On Saturday, October 13th, in the Devils-Thrashers game, Thrashers forward Todd White was called for diving.
On Monday, October 15th, in the Maple Leafs-Sabres game, Sabres forward Paul Gaustad was called for diving.
On Thursday, October 18th, in the Canadiens-Senators game, Canadiens forward Tomas Plekanec was called for diving.
