Joe Thornton usually doesn't dive but against the Detroit Red Wings in the playoffs he gave one of the best performances ever as Franzen took a light weak tap at Thornton.
Hockey Fairies & Divers
In hockey there are some players that disgrace this truly tough game with their dives and faking of injuries. This site is hoping to point these guys out.

Crosby complains about hat trick
Well if you thought Sydney Crosby was a whiner, he's now more of a whiner and crybaby. In game 2 Alex Ovechkin scored a hat trick, as Crosby did as well, and of course fans threw hats onto the ice as the old hockey tradition continues, but Crosby doesn't seem to like it because it wasn't him or a teammate.
Well Crosby, get over it you little fuckin whining baby. Why don't you shut up and just play hockey like other hockey players do. All you do is whine, most fans are sick of it, of course Penguins fans will stick up for you.
"People kept throwing hats," Sidney Crosby said tonight. "I was just asking if he could make an announcement to ask them to stop. I mean, the first wave came and then I think they were all pretty much picked up, and then more started coming. So for us, we just wanted to make sure we kept kind of moving and kept the game going, wanted to try to get back in it. So wasn't complaining about anything."

Lame hockey fairy-ness by Slava Kozlov
Here's a clip from Hockey Night in Canada with Don Cherry going off about Detroit Red Wings' Slava Kozlov taking a dive in Game 5 of Stanley Cup Western Conference finals against the Chicago Blackhawks in 1995. Watching that crap just makes me sick. That is not hockey or the way it should be played. What a disgrace to hockey and the true meaning of hockey.

Saturday night full of diving penalties
Last night there were quite a few diving penalties.
In the Flyers-Lightning game last night, Lightning star Martin St. Louis was called for diving. St. Louis is known for occassionally going down easily.
In the Devils-Islanders game last night, Islanders' Andy Hilbert was called for diving.
In the Sharks-Predators game last night, Predators' tough guy Jordin Tootoo was called for diving. Tootoo, known for his physical play, is also known to exaggerate things at times and goes down easy sometimes as well.

James Wisniewski gets called for diving
On December 26th, in the Predators-Blackhawks game, Blackhawks defenseman James Wisniewski was called for diving. Being a tough defenseman, he should know better not to dive.
